About the Recipe

This recipe is so simple, it practically makes itself while you kick back and relax. It's the culinary equivalent of hiring a butler, but without the awkwardness of someone calling you “sir” or “madam” in your own home. Ready to dive into the easiest, most mouth-watering roast of your life? Let’s do this!

Ingredients

  • 3-4 pounds chuck roast

  • 1 packet of ranch dressing mix

  • 1 packet of au jus gravy mix

  • 1 stick of unsalted butter

  • 1/2 jar pepperoncini peppers and juice

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Optional: additions

  • onions

  • baby bella mushrooms

  • any veggies you want really, theres no rules!

Preparation

This is rediculously easy, you ready?

In a crockpot:

  • Place your chuck roast

  • dump in your pepperoncinis

  • sprinkle packet of ajus all over

  • sprinkle packet of ranch seasoning all over

  • layer with stick of butter


  • cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours


  • If you want to add mushrooms, do so 30 minutes before time is up on the crockpot

  • other heartier veggies can be added whenever


  • shred your delicious masterpiece.


Serving Ideas:

traditionally can be served over mashed potatoes.


The ajus gave me a wild idea to serve this roast on a hoagie roll with a slice of swiss cheese. It did not disappoint.
